High standard of care
We take healthcare seriously at Stoneleigh Home. All statutory health and community care automatically extend to residential homes. Personal choice of general practitioner will be honoured where possible.
Medication is dispensed by Boots chemist using their monitored dosage system, and administered by the home manager or senior staff trained to do so. Each resident has a personal care plan which is formulated and developed from an initial needs assessment prior to admission. Relatives and friends are actively involved in the development of the residents’ care plan and reviews take place at least monthly, involving the manager, key worker and resident or family. Formal reviews will take place on a six monthly basis.
All confidential information is kept in a locked filing cabinet adhering to the Data Protection Act 1998 at all times.

Personalised care programmes
Although basic hair and nail care are free of charge, Chiropody, hairdressing, dentistry and the optometrist are arranged on a regular basis or when required at an additional charge. We also have a primary health team which includes the District Nurse, GP, Physiotherapist, Dietician, and Continence Advisor. The team will visit the home when requested.
