Keeping busy at Stoneleigh Home
Residents can make their day as busy or as quiet as they like. We have Dominoes, Scrabble, flower arranging sessions, supervised baking and a huge library of books for residents to choose from. Our library includes large print literature to make reading easier, and the mobile library visits on a monthly basis to cater for every individual requirement.
At Stoneleigh we provide a range of activities to suit every individual, as well as trips outside of the home for those who like to spread their wings! Two activities coordinator's visit the home three times a week to deliver a programme which meets the needs of every resident.

Excellent care for older people
Stoneleigh has always shared a close relationship with local schools, often enjoying visits from Pocklington and Melbourne Primary. Both schools always visit at Christmas time to sing Christmas Carols or to perform their nativity plays for our resident's, which is the prelude to Christmas at Stoneleigh.
Pupils from Pocklington School visit our home every Thursday afternoon, where they entertain our resident's with quizzes, games, cake decorating, potting bedding plants and various other pursuits.
Our schedule of activities is always growing and we’re always happy to take suggestions from our residents on how we can improve our programme.
